The scarf sizing guide: 46cm to oversized shawl

Scarf size is easy to overlook and hard to get wrong once you know the standard cuts. Here is the sizing vocabulary of the trade.

The standard sizes

  • Twilly / neck scarf — 5–8 cm × 86–120 cm. Slim, worn at the neck or on a bag handle.
  • Square / bandana — 46×46 cm, 53×53 cm, or the classic 90×90 cm.
  • Long scarf — 70 × 180–200 cm. The everyday wrap.
  • Oversized shawl — 100 × 200 cm and up. The evening wrap and travel blanket.

Which size sells

The 90×90 cm silk square is the universal classic; the long 70×200 wrap is the volume everyday piece; twillies are the fast-growing accessory. Stock the spread — squares, shawls, twillies — and let customers self-select.

Why size matters for MOQ

Larger pieces use more fabric, so the 20-piece minimum and tiered pricing are per design. Ask us to cost the same print across sizes and we will show the difference.
