The scarf buying calendar: when to order for every season

Scarves are a seasonal product with a manufacturing lead time — order too late and you miss the window. Work backwards from the retail season and you never do.

Work backwards

From order to landed goods, allow 7–14 days production plus shipping (3–7 days express, longer by sea). Add sampling if the design is new. So a winter range that must be on shelves in October should be ordered no later than early September.

The seasonal map

  • Spring/Summer — light silk, chiffon, cotton. Order Jan–Mar.
  • Autumn/Winter — cashmere, wool blends, oversized wraps. Order Jun–Aug.
  • Gifting (Q4) — silk squares, gift sets. Order Aug–Sep.

The trick

Stock designs ship fastest, so keep evergreen silk scarves and winter scarves in your base order and reserve custom work for the seasonal spikes. Tell us your season and we will build a calendar around it.
