What is the difference between a knitted and a woven winter scarf?
Knitted scarves are stretchy and chunky, woven scarves are structured and flat; each suits different designs

A knitted winter scarf is made by interlocking loops of yarn, giving it stretch, a chunkier hand and often a ribbed texture. A woven winter scarf is made by interlacing yarns on a loom, resulting in a flat, structured fabric with little stretch.
Design constraints - knitted scarves are ideal for solid colours, simple stripes and cable or rib patterns. Woven scarves can be printed with detailed designs, including digital prints, and can also be woven with complex jacquard patterns.
Minimums - knitted scarves typically carry a higher minimum order quantity than woven goods because they are made on different machinery and may require dedicated yarns. Woven scarves can start from our standard low minimum of 20 pieces per colour per design for digital print.
End use - knitted scarves are often chosen for casual, warm winter wear, while woven scarves are more versatile for fashion and corporate gifting. Both are available in a range of materials including wool blends, cashmere blends and acrylic.
