What is the warmest scarf material you offer?
Pure cashmere in a heavyweight weave or knit is the warmest, balancing warmth, weight and price

The warmest scarf material we offer is pure cashmere, especially in a heavier weight or a dense knit. Cashmere fibres are finer and crimpier than wool, trapping more air and providing warmth without bulk. A heavyweight cashmere scarf, such as one made from 19-22 momme equivalent or a chunky knit, will be warmer than a lightweight wool scarf.
However, warmth also depends on construction. A tightly woven or densely knitted fabric holds more air and blocks wind better than a loose weave. For extreme cold, a thick cashmere or cashmere-wool blend in a tight weave or a chunky knit is the best choice.
The trade-off is between warmth, weight and price. Pure cashmere is the warmest but also the most expensive and delicate. A 30% cashmere / 70% wool blend offers a strong balance, providing much of the softness and warmth with more resilience and a lower price. For a more economical option, a heavyweight wool-blend scarf still provides good warmth.
