How do you stop printed scarf colours from bleeding or fading?
Colour fastness depends on print method, fabric and care; specify your test requirement

Colour bleeding and fading are controlled by the print method, the fabric choice, the finishing process and the care instructions. We select the print method and finishing to suit the design and the intended use.
Print method - screen print and digital print behave differently. Screen print generally gives more robust colour penetration on suitable fabrics; digital print gives finer detail. The best choice depends on the design and the fabric weight.
Fabric choice - silk, silk-feel polyester, cotton and blends each take print differently. Heavier fabrics and tighter weaves generally hold print more securely than sheer, light fabrics.
Finishing - washing and finishing after print remove excess dye and set the colour. This is part of our in-house finishing and quality control.
Care guidance - recommend cold hand wash or dry clean, avoid prolonged soaking, and dry away from direct sunlight. These steps reduce bleeding and fading in use.
Testing - if you need a specific fastness standard, specify the test by name (for example wash fastness, rub fastness or light fastness) and the pass level. We source and test to your requirement. We do not publish a fastness rating; the exact result is confirmed at sample stage.
