Why pilling happens, and how fibre length and blend affect it.

All cashmere can pill — it is the nature of short, fine fibres working loose and balling under friction. But the amount depends on fibre length and ply: longer fibres and a two-ply yarn pill noticeably less than short fibres or single-ply.
Blends behave differently too — a 30% cashmere / 70% wool scarf is more resilient than 100% cashmere. We label each winter scarf with its composition so you can position it honestly and set the right customer expectation. A gentle cashmere comb removes surface pills; the routine is in our care guide.
