What is the cost difference between silk and polyester twillies?
Silk twillies cost more than polyester, with the gap driven by fabric price and tiered pricing

Silk twillies cost more than polyester twillies, and the difference is driven by the fabric price per metre, which dominates the per-piece cost at small sizes.
Silk twillies - made from 100% mulberry silk, typically 12-16 momme for a twilly. The indicative wholesale price for light printed silk, 8-12 momme, is roughly $1.5-$5 per piece, and for standard 16-momme twill it is roughly $4-$12 per piece for a 90x90 cm square. A twilly uses less fabric than a square, so the per-piece price is lower, but the fabric cost per metre is higher than polyester.
Polyester twillies - made from silk-feel polyester, which is always labelled as polyester, never as silk. The fabric cost is lower, so the per-piece price is lower than silk. We do not publish a separate price range for polyester twillies, but the saving is mainly in the fabric.
Pricing is tiered and steps down at 100, 500 and 1,000 pieces from a 20-piece start. The exact price depends on the fabric weight and is confirmed at order stage.
