How the three overlap, and how to name them for your customer.

The three terms overlap, but they signal different sizes and uses: a scarf is the everyday neck piece (square or long); a shawl is an oversized piece worn over the shoulders; a wrap is usually a long, generous rectangle you wrap and drape.
In practice, most retailers stock all three under one range and let the size do the naming. Our shawls & wraps run from long 70 × 180–200 cm scarves up to oversized 100 × 200 cm and larger wraps, from a 20-piece minimum. See the full size map.
