Scarves are packed to stay flat and protected, with the folding method and the interleaving chosen for the fabric and the end use.

Folding - silk and cashmere are folded loosely along the natural lines of the design rather than pressed into tight creases, which is where permanent marks form.

Tissue and board - a sheet of acid-free tissue between layers, and a light board for structure, keeps the fold soft and stops the fabric rubbing against itself.

Polybag - each scarf goes into a polybag sized to the folded piece, so it cannot shift and re-crease inside the carton.

Carton lining - the carton is lined and the contents packed to fill the space, because movement in transit causes more creasing than the fold itself.

Retail-ready versus bulk - retail-ready packing adds the buyer's own label and packaging and is most practical from a few hundred pieces per design. Bulk packing is simpler and more economical, and is the usual choice for stock orders.

Tell us whether the scarves go straight to the shelf or into your own finishing, and we will pack accordingly.
