An embroidered scarf from YANYAN is a 90x90 cm silk twill square with hand or machine embroidery added over the print. We make it in our own factory in Hefei, Anhui, so artwork, labels and packing stay in-house.

Why embroidery changes the scarf

Thread sits above the printed surface, so light and shadow move across the motifs as the silk folds. That raised detail is what separates an embroidered square from a flat printed one, and it is why the piece reads as handmade rather than reproduced.
