Chiffon vs crepe de chine — which should I choose?

Both are silk weaves, but they sit at opposite ends of weight and drape:

• Chiffon (6–8 momme) — sheer, airy, feather-light. Best for floaty shawls and wraps, layering and warm weather.
• Crepe de chine (12–16 momme) — a fine crinkled texture with more body and a soft drape. A versatile everyday silk.

Choose chiffon for a delicate, ethereal look and crepe de chine for something with more substance that still moves beautifully. Both are in our stock, and we can produce either to your spec from a 20-piece minimum. Tell us the occasion and we will recommend the weave.
