Can you make a monogrammed or personalised shawl?
Yes, within limits: embroidery placement is constrained by the weave and the minimum is per colour

Yes. Monogramming and personalisation are done as embroidery on a finished shawl, and the practical constraint is placement rather than the technique.
Placement - a corner or border position is the safest, because it sits on stable cloth and does not interrupt the drape. A large central monogram on a fine, light shawl can pull the weave, so heavier twill and satin take embroidery better than sheer chiffon.
Design constraint - embroidery is added after the shawl is made, so it works best on plain, woven or lightly patterned grounds. On a busy printed design the monogram competes with the print and legibility drops.
Minimum - the standard minimum is 20 pieces per colour per design, and a monogram is treated as part of the design. A single personalised piece is not economic; a run of 20 or more in one colour is.
Lead time - add embroidery to the normal schedule. Stock orders ship in 3-7 days, a custom sample takes 7-10 days, and bulk production runs 7-14 days after sample approval, longer in the autumn/winter peak.
This suits bridal parties, corporate gifting and resort retail, where one colour and one monogram are ordered across a group.
